Overview
This policy describes the cookies and similar technologies Kroov uses on its website and in the application.
What is a cookie
A cookie is a small text file stored on your device. The browser's local storage plays a similar role; Kroov uses it to remember interface preferences.
The cookies we use
- Essential: the sign-in session and security checks, including the kroov_device device identifier (one year), set at sign-up to prevent abuse of free credits. Without them you cannot sign in. They do not require your consent.
- Bot check: Google reCAPTCHA, loaded only on the sign-up and invitation pages; Google processes your IP address, your browser and its own cookies there, under its rules (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
- Preferences: light or dark theme, language, your choice about measurement cookies (kept for one year). They do not require your consent.
- Audience measurement: Google Analytics, on the website's public pages only, with an anonymised IP address, and only if you accept it in the banner.
Your choice
On public pages, the banner lets you accept or refuse audience measurement; refusing is as easy as accepting. You can change your mind at any time with the button below, which clears your choice and asks you again. You can also delete cookies from your browser settings; deleting essential cookies signs you out.
Updates
We may change this policy when our use of cookies changes. The new version is published on this page.
